Burger King closes two restaurants in Lafayette

Two Burger King locations in Lafayette have shut down.

One is at 1500 Johnston St., across from the University of Louisiana Lafayette campus. The other is at the corner of Jefferson Boulevard and Evangeline Thruway.

A sign is posted on the window at Johnston Street thanked customers for their many years of support, saying, "We hope you can come see us down the road at 5301 Johnston St. or a location near you." The signage has also been removed.

A sign placed on the window of the Jefferson Boulevard restaurant said, "We hope you can come to see us at 1726 University or a location near you."

There's no updates from the franchise on any future developments for either location.
