Burger King Is Reportedly Getting A Bacon Cheeseburger On A Pretzel Bun Fit For Royalty
I've said it before and I'll say it again: All sandwiches should be on pretzels buns. And it seems like brands are finally listening to me...or realizing it on their own. Auntie Anne's announced pretzel sliders last week, and this week, Burger King is reportedly the next place to get its own pretzel sandwich.
Burger King will reportedly be unveiling the Pretzel Bacon King sandwich next week, according to Chewboom. Not only that, the sandwich is apparently already soft launching in some stores TODAY. Yes, if you live near select Burger Kings, you could be having a bacon pretzel burger for lunch today. Delish has reached out to Burger King for confirmation on these details but did not immediately hear back.
In the meantime, let's break down what apparently may go on this glorious burger. It's already launched in Canada (as shown in the photo above), and if the American version is the same, it will feature "two 1/4 lb savory flame-grilled beef patties, melted cheese, crispy bacon, topped with mustard and creamy mayonnaise all on a perfectly toasted pretzel bun." So all the good things. On a pretzel bun.
YouTuber Peep This Out! already gave it a try and gave the sandwich rave reviews. For what it's worth, there's also already ASMR of someone eating it because the internet truly has everything. If you want to give it a try yourself, it may be worth calling ahead to see if your local location is one of the lucky ones reportedly already selling it.
