Hey Big Mac, there's a new big burger in town, and it claims to have 175% more beef than you. Burger King's new Big King XL is made with more than a 1/2 pound of flame-grilled beef, and it really sounds like a Big Mac...just, well, bigger.

According to a press release, the Big King XL is topped with melted American cheese, sliced onions, zesty pickles, lettuce, and BK's "special savory sauce" on a toasted sesame bun. Unlike a McDonald's Big Mac, though, the Big King XL skips the third bun in the middle of the burger (which is totally fine with me).

Burger King fans in Chicago can help the chain throw the ultimate shade at McDonald's. As you may recall, McDonald's distributed MacCoins in 2018 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Big Mac. As of December 31, though, the coins can no longer be redeemed for a free burger.

"Now that the MacCoins have expired," the press release states, "Burger King is giving people one more day to use their MacCoins, but this time for a bigger, flame-grilled option." The offer is valid at participating locations in Chicago, so you may want to call before you head in with your MacCoin.

The Big King XL is available at select Burger King locations nationwide for a limited time (*McDonald's sighs with relief*), with a recommended price of $5.99.
