Burglary suspect drowns while fleeing Yuba City police
A burglar died Thursday morning after driving into the Feather River in Sutter County to avoid police and drowning, Yuba City police said. The man stole a coin machine around 6 a.m. from the wall of the Coin Op Laundry on Palora Avenue, police said. The man was spotted three hours later on Wilbur Avenue trying to open the machine with a truck that had been reported stolen. When officers arrived, the man sped away, leaving the coin machine behind. Get the full story in the video above.
