Burlington City man accused of fatal shooting in Camden

CAMDEN - A Burlington City man has been charged in connection with a fatal shooting here last year.

Lesure Funari, 23, allegedly gunned down Takwail Bailey on the 100 block of Lois Street on Nov., 28, said the Camden County Prosecutor's Office.

Bailey, 29, was shot multiple times on the Cramer Hill street around 10:30 p.m. He was pronounced dead at a city hospital a short time later.

Funari was arrested at a home in Camden on Friday, the prosecutor's office said. He is being held in Camden County Jail, pending a pretrial detention hearing.

Funari is charged with murder and related offenses. The charges are only allegations and Funari has not been convicted in the case.
