Burlington man arrested on pretrial release violations

A Burlington man has been arrested after a pretrial release violation warrant was issued for him.

The West Burlington Police Department found Terence Jay Gordon, age 22, at an address in the 600 block of S. Gear Avenue on February 2 at about 8:03 p.m. Gordon was arrested with help from the Des Moines County Sheriff’s Office, the Burlington Police Department and the Southeast Iowa Narcotics Taskforce.

Gordon had an outstanding pretrial release violation arrest warrant on these original charges:

  • Robbery 1st degree

  • Willful injury causing serious injury

  • Going armed with intent

  • Possession of a firearm by a felon

He also faces charges of possession of a firearm by a felon and three counts of possession of a controlled substance 1st offense in a separate case.
