Burning River Brass concert set in Port Clinton

PORT CLINTON - The annual Burning River Brass Christmas concert promises a touch of tradition, a dash of jazz, and a healthy measure of festive cheer. Again this year, the Musical Arts Series in Port Clinton will bring the Burning River Brass to the Port Clinton High School Performing Arts Center on at 3:30 p.m. Dec. 17 for their performance of "Our Kind of Christmas."

This concert has been presented annually in memory of Earl E. Warnke, who brought the joy of music to hundreds of students in Port Clinton. His daughter, Diane (Warnke) Hawk and her husband Hal Hawk and Crown Battery are the title sponsors for this concert, which is also sponsored by the Harry Stensen Memorial Trust Fund and by Weichert Realtors' Morgan Realty Group as program sponsors.This Christmas concert will be presented free and no tickets are required to attend. The audience will be seated on a first-come, first-served basis after the doors open at 2:45 p.m. Freewill donations will be accepted to help continue the Musical Arts Series in the future.
