Burr and Burton sweeps in D-I; Otter Valley boys golf claims D-II

For the second straight year the Burr and Burton boys and girls swept the Division I golf championships.

The Bulldog boys followed the girls championship with an encore on Thursday at Orleans Country Club. The group of Nick O'Donnell, Angus Bellingham, Noah Rourke and Benny Ario tallied a score of 320 to outpace Champlain Valley by four strokes. O'Donnell parred three of the last four holes to shoot a 3-over 75 to claim the D-I medalist spot.

CVU's Bryce Bortnick (76) was the runner-up.

In D-II, the Otter Valley duo of Lucas Politano (77, medalist) and Thomas Politano (84) pushed the Otters to the state title along with Matthew Bryant and Jackson Howe. The group combined to shoot a 349.
