Travis Kelce to Cincinnati Mayor Aftab Pureval: 'Know your role and shut your mouth!'
Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, a former Cincinnati Bearcats standout, interrupted reporter Tracy Wolfson's on-field postgame interview with Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes on CBS – moments after the Cincinnati Bengals' 23-20 loss in the AFC championship game at Arrowhead Stadium – to yell, "Burrowhead my ass! Woooo! It's Mahomes' house!"
"This team stepped up against a great football team. And we showed this place is Arrowhead, it's not Burrowhead out here," Mahomes added during the interview. "I don't think we have any cigars, but we'll be ready to go in the Super Bowl."
But Kelce was far from finished.
"Hey, I've got some wise words for that Cincinnati mayor," Kelce said during the trophy presentation. "Know your role and shut your mouth, you jabroni!"
Cincinnati Mayor Aftab Pureval took shots at the Chiefs in advance of the game, tweeting a video that even made Bengals fans cringe. He later apologized for his remarks.
Pureval returned to twitter Sunday night to respond to Kelce:
Yeah. Deserved that.
Congrats to KC on a well-fought win, and good luck in Arizona.
Proud of our fans and our @bengals for the energy all year.

The Chiefs will meet the Philadelphia Eagles in two weeks in Super Bowl 57.

The Chiefs deserved to win that game.
But the officiating in that one was absolutely atrocious. Wrecked a great game. It's time for the NFL implement the SkyJudge, and deploy it aggressively, which is what a great majority of coaches want. You have the technology, guys. Use it.— Albert Breer (@AlbertBreer) January 30, 2023
Cam Taylor-Britt on Joseph Ossai: “It’s not on him. When you’re going that fast you just don’t know. We got a lot of crazy calls at the end.”

The officiating in this game was unimaginably terrible. And very one sided. But that was an obvious call. And it ended the #Bengals season. #AFCChampionshipGame

"NFL Rigged" trending nationally is a great look for the league.

Bengals came into the game presented as villains and got treated as such by the officials all night long.

Sorry @Bengals fans but take heart knowing you have a generationally brilliant player at the most important position with a terrific coach in place to keep everything on track.
