After 25 years as owners of The Manor and later The Draught House Bar & Grill at 42 West Boylston St. in West Boylston, the Fotiadis family is passing the operation of the business to two chefs who have worked for the family for several years. Savvas Fotiadis, who owned and operated the banquet facility and restaurant with his sister Katerina Fotiadis-Rajotte and brother Antonios (Tony) Fotiadis, confirmed that as of Oct. 1, the business is being leased by chef Frensis Ushe and sous chef Franci Kulla. There will be no menu or staffing changes at either business, according to Fotiadis.

It was incorporated as a separate town in 1850, and named after the DeWitt Clinton Hotel in New York. Today, its 7.3 square miles wrapped around the Wachusett Reservoir holds a population of roughly 15,500. According to realtor.com, 10 single-family homes are currently for sale in Clinton. They range from a 1,483-square-foot four-bedroom listed for $154,666 to a 1,680-square-foot three bedroom listed at $599,900.

A Texas-based developer is proposing a 220-unit apartment complex off Lincoln Street, according to documents submitted to the Planning Board. Maple Multi-Family Development LLC, of Dallas, plans to develop a vacant 580,000-square-foot parcel at 3 Oriol Drive. Oriol Drive is off Lincoln Street, about equidistant between the Lincoln Street/Boylston Street rotary and Lincoln Plaza. The plans call for two five-story buildings with a total of 230,000 square feet and 344 parking spaces. The Planning Board has been requested to take up the application, called the Alexan Worcester, at its Oct. 12 meeting.

The Zoning Board of Appeals approved two special permits on Monday for a 218-unit residential project on Shrewsbury Street. Lundgren Equity Partners of Auburn is proposing to build an approximately 205,000-square-foot, seven-story building, at the rear of a shopping plaza at 225 Shrewsbury St. and fronting Albany Street. The proposed building will have approximately 50 studio and 50 two-bedroom apartments; the remainder will be one-bedroom apartments. The plaza includes Mexicali Cantina Grill and InHouse Coffee. At one time the building was home to Lawless Cadillac Pontiac. An industrial building at 68 Albany St. is proposed for demolition and conversion to a surface parking lot of 120 spaces.

Construction started Monday off Providence and Boston roads in Sutton, where a local packaging company plans to open a 1-million-square-foot warehouse and manufacturing space. UN1F1ED² Global Packaging, an international packaging company headquartered in Sutton, plans to erect two buildings on a 448-acre lot. A representative of the contractor, RP Masiello Inc. of Boylston, did not specify how long the project will take to finish, but he did say that it will be "multiyear." UN1F1ED² specializes in producing the elements needed for foam packaging, air pack packaging and wood packaging for industries that range from commercial to life sciences.
