New business moves to another location, expands services
COSHOCTON − A wellness spa that opened in December has already outgrown it's original location and has moved to a new spot nearby.
B. Radiant Wellness was originally at 1037 Walnut St., but recently moved operations to 218 Cambridge Road. The building last held Olde Town Realty. The previous location is now home to B. Radiant Nail Salon with two nail technicians.
The spa offers medical weight loss, facial esthetics like Botox and dermal fillers, I.V. hydration and injectables, along with other self-care choices such as teeth whitening and facials. It's owned by Tarah Jaras of Newcomerstown, who also works as a nurse practitioner at the Arrowhead Medical Clinic. They have about 800 clients.
With the move, staff has grown from four to 12. There's space for private weight loss and general wellness consultations, a new HydraFacial chair was added, laser hair removal is now offered and there are two private body sculpting rooms.
"About two weeks into the old building, we realized there wasn't enough space. When you're starting a new business you don't know what you don't know," Jaras said. "We needed more room and more privacy. We wanted to create that spa-like feeling and this building affords that."
Jaras had a vision for creating a medical spa focused on self-care for many years and began earnestly pursuing it last year. She felt such services were desired in the region as she knew people who went as far as Columbus, Cleveland and Pittsburgh for some of the services she's offering.
Jaras said a customer recently came in from Navarre, more than an hour away. They also have a lot of clients from Cambridge, Zanesville, Dresden, Millersburg, Baltic and Sugarcreek. A second location in Sugarcreek will hopefully be open by early fall, Jaras said.
"It's been overwhelming. They've supported since day one," she said.
