Dockery named VP at VyStar Credit Union

Ken Dockery recently was named the new vice president for VyStar Credit Union’s new location at 6435 N. Wickham Road in Suntree.

Dockery is a native of Charlotte, North Carolina. He is a 1986 graduate of Coastal Carolina University.

He had been at Bank of America for the past 24 years, and moved to Palm Bay last year.

“I’m excited about what VyStar brings to the community,’’ Dockery said. “They’re involved in nonprofits, and they’re willing to give back a lot of money and time. That’s what banks don’t do these days.’’

VyStar’s Suntree branch expands its footprint in Brevard County, where the credit union opened its Titusville branch earlier this year.

VyStar now has more than 15 branches across Central Florida, with plans for future growth in the region.

VyStar Credit Union is the second-largest credit union headquartered in Florida, and now serves more than 830,000 members with assets of more than $13 billion.

VyStar is the largest mortgage lender in Northeast Florida and a major employer in the region, with more than 2,000 employees.

VyStar membership is open to everyone who lives or works in the 49 contiguous counties of Central to North Florida, and 26 Georgia counties.

WhiteBird's O’Connor named to 'Best Lawyers' list

Ryan O’Connor, a lawyer with WhiteBird PLLC, recently was named to the 2023 edition of “Best Lawyers: One to Watch in America.”

Best Lawyers noted O’Connor’s caliber of work in both appellate practice and commercial litigation.

O’Connor joined WhiteBird earlier this year following several years as a lawyer for Am Law, which has offices in Orlando and Tallahassee.

WhiteBird started in January 2020, and is a full-service law with 10 attorneys with two offices — one in Melbourne and one in Vero Beach.

Four get new positions at The AD Leaf marketing firm

The AD Leaf, a full-service marketing firm, recently announced a number of promotions of key personnel and staff additions.

The staff changes include:

Brian Wallace to senior vice president and chief of marketing and revenue officer.

In this new role, Wallace will be responsible for leading the organization's newly formed franchise division business line.

Wallace has been with The AD Leaf since 2021, and has played an instrumental role in its growth and success since his beginning as vice president of growth and marketing.

Sean Williams was hired as vice president of growth and marketing.

His responsibilities include developing and executing marketing plans that drive the company's customer acquisition and revenue growth.

Williams graduated from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas. Before joining The AD Leaf, he held various marketing positions, giving him more than 10 years of experience in the field, including being marketing chair at the board of directors for the Florida Association of Veteran-Owned Businesses.

Shannon Sullivan was promoted to vice president of marketing team operations.

Sullivan graduated cum laude from Florida Institute of Technology, where she received her business administration degree focused in marketing. She completed her master’s in music business at New York University.

She started with The AD Leaf as a social media specialist in 2019.

Ebony Marks was named director of team operations.

With more than eight years of experience in the music and marketing industries, she will oversee all marketing operations.
