Hemenway gets expanded role at transportation organization

The Space Coast Transportation Planning Organization recently announced the promotion of staff member Abby Hemenway to public information and outreach manager.

Hemenway has served as the SCTPO’s public involvement officer since 2017.

In her new role, Hemenway will oversee the organization’s public engagement program that ensures a level of community involvement in the region’s transportation planning process. She will do this by managing a public communications and outreach program that promotes awareness and understanding of transportation planning, projects and issues through proactive communication with residents, the news media and community partners.

Prior to joining the SCTPO, she served from 2014 to 2017 as the media and content coordinator for Brevard Public Schools, where she handled districtwide communications and media relations.

Hemenway earned her bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Central Florida in 2011. She also holds a graduate certificate in professional writing and master’s in technical communication, both from UCF.

She is an active member of the Brevard County's Public Information Network and 321 Millennials. She serves on the board of the Space Coast chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association as the events programming chair, and has been named the president-elect for 2022-23.

Most recently, she earned her Accreditation in Public Relations or APR, and will graduate from the Leadership FPRA Class of 2021-22 in August.

She lives in Viera with her husband, Logan, and their daughter, Alice.

The Space Coast Transportation Planning Organization provides transportation planning services for the Brevard County’s urbanized areas, as designated by the U.S. Census Bureau. The SCTPO coordinates transportation plans for the area’s local jurisdictions and transportation authorities.

Higgins promoted at Senior Partner Care Services

Angelina Higgins has been promoted to assistant office manager for Senior Partner Care Services, an affiliate of One Senior Place in Viera.

Higgins has a long history of staffing administration and office management, and most recently was a service coordinator for Senior Partner Care Services.

In her new role, she will manage office operations and client relations for the in-home care and care management provider, as well as the recruitment, screening, registration and placement of caregivers.

In addition, Higgins will act as the in-house liaison for digital sales and marketing efforts.

Senior Partner Care Services helps older clients continue to live safely and independently at home by providing them with a reliable and affordable source of high-quality non-medical home care.

Riccard named Currency Exchange International payroll analyst

Prior to joining Currency Exchange International, Riccard was an human resources/onboarding specialist at Revolution Technologies in Melbourne.

Currency Exchange International is a customer-oriented company specializing in foreign currency exchange and international payments.

Riccard received her associates degree from Eastern Florida State College and her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Central Florida.
