The company — based in Santa Fe Springs, California — has more than 280 stores and a growing e-commerce business. It has more than 2,100 employees nationwide.

Founded by the Zekaria family, Windsor opened its first store in Southern California in 1937, with a mission "to create an oasis that inspires and empowers women."

Windsor said it focuses on providing a broad selection of on-trend apparel for all the occasions in a woman’s life, including school-based occasions like prom and graduation; seasonal events like Halloween and New Year’s Eve; and everyday occasions like date night and brunch.

It is known for having a large selection of moderately priced formal dresses.

Windsor’s wedding shop has apparel for bridal showers, rehearsal dinners and bachelorette events, as well as bridesmaid dresses, bridal gowns and wedding guest outfits.

Windsor officials say that, during a time when many fashion retailers are closing or downsizing, "Windsor is experiencing strong momentum, both in-store and online."

Melbourne Square Marketing Director Alisha Kish said Windsor is one of a number of retailers, restaurants and other businesses that have opened at Melbourne Square in recent months.

Others include CarePlus Health Plans, Everyone’s a Gem, God’s Love Apparel, Go Green CBD, Mr. & Mrs. Crab Juicy Seafood & Bar, Oui Oui, Planet Grilled Cheese, Taza Leather, The Pizza Place, Travel Smart Vacations and Wooden Spoon.

Kish said these seasonal retailers also have returned to mall for the Christmas season: Big Sports, Go Calendar, See’s Candy, The Ornament Station and Wildlife Plastic.
