BRPH names Campbell as master planning/urban design leader

BRPH, a nationally ranked architecture, engineering and construction firm with offices nationwide, recently hired Timothy Campbell as master planning and urban design leader for its growing hospitality and entertainment business.

Campbell, a certified professional landscape architect, brings to the role more than 40 years of industry experience working with real estate developers, and providing programming, land planning and sustainable design for world-class destination resorts and hotels, themed environments and commercial development.

His work has earned accolades for clients, including Best Overall Resort Community, Top 20 Golf Course, No. 1 Private Clubhouse and an American Society of Landscape Architects Design Award.

As a member of the Ginn Development team, he was part of a group that reviewed more than 60 properties in eight years, leading to the development and entitlement of 15 high-end resort and commercial properties.

Most recently, he served as a principal at SCI Sarasota, a landscape architecture firm that specialized in design for resorts and residential developments, as well as themed/entertainment venues around the globe.

Prior to taking that role, he owned and operated Ecoadvantage Development Services LLC, a land planning company focused on sustainable design for a variety of commercial and residential projects.

Campbell earned dual bachelor’s degrees in environmental science and landscape architecture/planning from Syracuse University, in conjunction with the College of Environmental Science and Forestry, and an associate degree in architecture from Alfred State University.

Spencer Monteiro was named associate director of Cornerstone Marketing Team Operations. Monteiro has bachelor’s degree in business administration from the Florida Institute of Technology.

Fernandez named VITAS Healthcare chief financial officer

VITAS Healthcare recently appointed Alexander Fernandez to its leadership team as executive vice president and chief financial officer.

VITAS has an inpatient hospice center in Rockledge, as well as three office locations in Barefoot Bay, Melbourne and Titusville. VITAS also operates a home medical equipment warehouse in West Melbourne, where it stores and distributes hospice equipment to patients in their homes.

As chief financial officer for the provider of end-of-life care, Fernandez oversees the company’s finance, accounting and investor relations functions. As executive vice president, he helps drive the executive team’s growth, optimizing financial performance and ensuring financial compliance.

Fernandez brings more than two decades of financial, administrative and leadership experience in the health care industry to his role.

In addition to leading the full complement of financial operations departments as CFO, Fernandez serves as a strategic partner to the entire organization.

He will support the company’s ongoing growth by improving upon the existing financial infrastructure, deepening operational finance and its ability to deliver insights, and scaling the finance function to support the company’s decentralized operations.

Fernandez comes to VITAS from Broward Health, where he served nine years in executive finance roles, most recently as senior vice president and CFO. He also was CFO for Broward Health Medical Center and Salah Foundation Children’s Hospital.

His prior finance leadership includes chief roles with Tenet Healthcare at Good Samaritan Medical Center and North Shore Medical Center.

He began his career as an accountant for St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach.
