Patel joins Space Coast Health Foundation board

Dr. Yoshita Patel recently joined the board of the Space Coast Health Foundation.

Patel, owner of Viera Pediatric Dentistry in Viera, also has volunteered her time and expertise on pediatric dental issues for specific children populations, as well as helping lead efforts to keep fluoride in public water systems on the Space Coast.

Patel is the mother of two children, a son and daughter.

She attended Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, earning her bachelor’s degree in medical anthropology. She went to dental school at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where she met her husband, Dr. Michael Hosking, an endodontist in Viera.

Patel completed a one-year, hospital-based residency in Madison, Wisconsin, followed by a two-year residency in pediatric dentistry at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, and concurrently completed a master’s degree in public health from the University of Texas at Houston.

The Space Coast Health Foundation is a Rockledge-based grant-giving organization focused on ensuring access to quality health care for all Brevard County residents.

Parrish names Eljaiek as CFO, VP of finance

Titusville-based Parrish Healthcare recently hired financial executive Lester Eljaiek as its new chief financial officer and vice president of finance.

Eljaiek, who has more than 20 years of health care experience, most recently was the regional chief financial officer at Broward Health Medical Center. Before Broward Health, he led the financial operations of the Fort Lauderdale hospital and Salah Foundation Children’s Hospital.

Prior to both those positions, Eljaiek served as senior vice president of finance of Lifespan Health System in Providence, Rhode Island. He also served as vice president of finance at Sentara Healthcare in Norfolk, Virginia.

In addition to being a certified public accountant, Eljaiek is a certified healthcare financial professional and is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

He also is a chief financial officer fellow with the GE Healthcare Management Academy.

Eljaiek earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting from Florida International University.

Bradford joins CrossleyShear Wealth Management

CrossleyShear Wealth Management, based on Merritt Island and in Heathrow, recently added Dawn Bradford to its team.

Bradford is a client relationship and operations specialist, and a registered representative with Raymond James Financial Services.

Bradford joined CrossleyShear with more than 20 years of experience in financial services.

She previously held positions at Smith Barney Citigroup, Merrill Lynch and, most recently, worked for six years with another Raymond James financial-planning firm.

She is fully licensed by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority and is experienced in compliance.
