Lindsey Jankowski, certified physician assistant, has joined Lovelace Medical Group. Jankowski earned her master's degree from Colorado State University, and her master of physician assistant studies from University of Iowa. Her clinical experience includes cosmetic and oncoplastic surgery, with a special focus on breast reconstruction. Jankowski is located at Lovelace Medical Group at 6701 Jefferson NE.

Dr. Latha Raja Shankar, certified family medicine physician, has joined Lovelace Medical Group. Shankar earned her medical degree at Chennai (Madras) Medical College & Research Institute in India. She also completed a residency in Family Practice at St. Mary's Hospitals in Milwaukee. She recently served as the chief medical director of Western Sky Community Care in Albuquerque, as well as Molina Health Care. Shankar is located at Lovelace Medical Group at 4420 Irving NW.

Kimberly Kozeliski, certified family nurse practitioner, has joined Lovelace Medical Group. Kozeliski completed her bachelor's degree at New Mexico State University, and earned her master's degree at Walden University in Minneapolis. Her clinical experience includes assisting patients with medical and physical health maintenance, as well as providing women's health services for contraception, reproductive concerns and family planning. Kozeliski is located at Lovelace Medical Group at 4420 Irving NW.

Neema Pickett, a WESST business consultant and trainer, has been honored as a National Business Advisor of the Year by the Association of Women's Business Centers, a non-profit who works closely with the U.S. Small Business Administration. Established in 1998, the association aims to secure economic justice and entrepreneurial opportunities for women by supporting and sustaining a national network of more than 150 Women's Business Centers.

Four scientists from Los Alamos National Laboratory received multiyear funding for their projects from the Department of Energy Early Career Research Awards. The scientists are:

Andrey Lokhov — working to improve the mathematics underpinning machine learning for many-body quantum physics, power grids, turbulence and field theories.

Rich Fiorella — working to improve modeling of coastal-urban environmental change using stable water isotope ratios and numerical tracers.

Yu Zhang — working to boost multiscale modeling capabilities for molecular quantum electrodynamics on DOE exascale computers.

Kun Liu — working to understand the origin of the hadron mass.

The Santa Fe Animal Shelter has announced a change in leadership. Chief Executive Officer Jack Hagerman has resigned, the board is searching for an interim CEO. Elizabeth Rice has joined the SFAS board of directors. Rice has served on many boards including Girls' Inc, Santa Fe Community Foundation and Sky Mountain Wild Horse Sanctuary. Returning to the Board are Bill Feinberg, Diana Brown, Mary Mitchell and Sheila Vaughn. They join Board Chair, Gretchen Walther and Board Treasurer, Bruce Johnson. The Santa Fe Animal Shelter is northern New Mexico's largest and only no-kill shelter, it operates as a 501©(3) nonprofit organization.

Travis Tillery, a GMC sales manager in Moriarty, graduated from the National Automobile Dealers Association Academy in June. NADA Academy aims to prepare current and future dealership leaders to maximize each department's efficiency while examining how new technology and innovations reshape the industry.

Bulletin Board

Bulletin board SCORE Albuquerque will host its workshop titled "Ask the Expert Q&A: Business Funding" from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday via Zoom. Stephanie Skaggs, SCORE funding and financing expert, will answer questions regarding business funding such as growing a company, bank loans and business funding alternative financing options in this Q&A-style workshop.
