Bank of America has named Erik Vatter president of Bank of America Sarasota/Manatee.

He is an 11-year veteran of the bank. As president, Vatter is responsible for connecting the banking and investment resources offered through the bank’s eight lines of business to people and companies across Sarasota/Manatee.

He will also lead the effort to deploy Bank of America’s resources to address social concerns, strengthen economic opportunity and build strong communities, as well as support the health, safety, and engagement of local employees.

In addition to his responsibilities as president of Sarasota/Manatee, Vatter is a Merrill resident director and recruitment strategy executive. Since joining Bank of America, he has led Merrill offices in York, Pennsylvania, and Sarasota/Manatee.

He is also involved in Bank of America’s employee networks, serving as the executive sponsor of LEAD for Women Sarasota/Manatee, and is an LGBTQ+ champion.

Vatter graduated from Pennsylvania State University.

HCA Florida Fawcett Hospital, in Port Charlotte, has hired Lisa Tzanakis as chief operating officer. She comes to Fawcett from HCA Florida Largo Hospital, where she was vice president of operations.

Tzanakis started her career as executive administrative resident at HCA Florida Capital Hospital and also was assistant administrator at HCA Florida Largo Hospital.

Tzanakis earned a bachelor’s in health policy and administration from Pennsylvania State University and a master’s in healthcare administration from the University of Minnesota.
