BUSINESS PEOPLE: Bay Park Conservancy hires first full-time CFO

The Bay Park Conservancy, the nonprofit organization responsible for designing, developing, managing and operating 53 acres of city-owned land along Sarasota Bay into an iconic public park, has added Steve Germaine to its leadership team as its first full-time chief financial officer.

As CFO, Germaine will initially report to Founding CEO AG Lafley, then to new President and CEO Stephanie Crockatt when she joins The Bay Park Conservancy in June 2023.

He will also work closely with the Finance Committee and Board Treasurer Rob Lane on all matters financial.

Germaine is a well-rounded finance and accounting executive who has the ability to integrate organizational goals and strategies with operating budgets resulting in world-class execution.

For the past 20 years, he was controller and then VP Finance/CFO of the largest division of Timex Corp. His prior financial experience was with both large and midsize publicly and privately held companies in various manufacturing sectors.

He also has served as the treasurer for various nonprofit organizations that have supported children, college athletics, church and community.

The Pickleball Club, a private complex with indoor courts opening soon in Lakewood Ranch, recently welcomed Noel Quevreaux as its general manager.

Quevreaux has over 45 years of experience in racket sports. Most recently, she served as the general manager of the Missouri Pickleball Club. Prior to that, she owned and managed Sunset Tennis Center. During her time there, she constructed the first dedicated indoor pickleball courts in St. Louis.

Quevreaux has a number of athletic accomplishments, including being named a top ranked national junior tennis player, a 5.0 USTA national league champion, an alternate for the World Team Tennis St. Louis Aces and a USPTA certified coach. She also played D1 collegiate tennis at Texas State University.

Most recently, she received the St. Louis District Tennis Association President’s Award for 2022.

Quevreaux received her bachelor’s degree from Texas State University. She has served on a number of boards and committees at the local and sectional level, and

The Pickleball Club at Lakewood Ranch, at 1300 Sarasota Center Blvd., is set to open in spring 2023, with 12 indoor pickleball courts with a tournament-level outdoor surface and an outdoor activity center.
