Wayzata-based global commodity trader Cargill announced that Brian Sikes has been elected president and chief executive officer, effective Jan. 1, and current CEO Dave MacLennan will assume the role of executive chair of Cargill’s board of directors. Privately held Cargill is one of the world’s largest producers and traders of agricultural and energy products and commodities.

WSB, a Golden Valley-based engineering and consulting firm, announced the hire of Sarah Rohne as director of human resources. She joins WSB from Schwan’s Co., where she most recently served as senior human resource manager of talent pipeline and development.

Northern Tool + Equipment, a Burnsville-based supplier of hardware and tools for professionals and consumers, announced that President and CEO Suresh Krishna has been named “Global Indian of the Year” by New Delhi-based Asian media AsiaOne. Krishna’s executive career includes leadership stints in India, Oman, UAE and Switzerland.
