BUSINESS PEOPLE: New human resources manager part of growth at JMX Brands

JMX Brands, the parent company of the largest online store of Amish furniture, has hired Leslie Heller as its inaugural human resource manager. The Sarasota-based business has added over 20 full-time positions in the past year, growing to 67 full-time employees.

Heller has a wealth of relevant experience, previously working in human resources management at Lowe’s, Gold Coast Eagle Distributing, Conway Department Stores and other companies.

As human resource manager, Heller works alongside CEO Jim Miller and Business Manager Doug Tuck to shape policy, develop talent and enhance company culture.

Heller holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from DeVry University and a Master of Human Resource Management from Keller Graduate School of Management.

Englewood Bank & Trust recently promoted all five of its principal retail banking officers.

Michelle Ravagni and Kristina Watts were named vice presidents, while Charlene Dorio, Alison Henderson and Gretchen Holla became assistant vice presidents.

Ravagni is the retail banking officer who manages the bank’s main office, while Watts is business relationship banker.

Dorio is a retail banking officer supervising the support team at the main office, Henderson is the retail banking officer at the Rotonda/Cape Haze and Gulf Cove offices and Holla is the retail banking officer in Boca Grande.

Williams Parker, of Sarasota, has been named a 2022 “Best Law Firm” by U.S. News – Best Lawyers.
