Business People: Nelly Chick, formerly with Port Authority, joins Meda as controller

Minneapolis-based Meda (Metropolitan Economic Development Association) announced the appointment of Nelly Chick as controller. Chick previously was with the St. Paul Port Authority and has a degree in accounting from Hamline University in St. Paul.

The Housing First Minnesota Foundation/HomeAid Minnesota, Roseville, announced Jessica Ryan as its new executive director. The foundation partners with service organizations to build and renovate transitional housing facilities for Minnesotans in need. Housing First Minnesota is a trade group representing the interests of state builders and developers.

St. Croix Ballet, Stillwater, announced that program alum Laura Daugherty as its new owner and director; Daugherty is a long-time teacher and professional dancer.
