Columbus radio host Jerry Elliot is to join Ed Bisconti on Junkyard Dogs, a new restaurant venture in Linworth.

Bisconti, a partner in the two Borgata Pizza Cafes, said the hot dog joint will be open in the next couple of weeks at 2245 W. Dublin-Granville Road.

"The place will feature an all-beef hot dog from Cleveland, all-pork stadium dog from Michigan and a wagyu dog from New Jersey, plus Italian sausage and bratwurst," Bisconti said.

Junkyard Dogs is to have specialty dogs, such as coneys with homemade sauce, a Chicago dog, typical toppings, french fries and “hubcaps,” a thick ruffled fry.

“It’s a pretty simple menu,” he said.

Bisconti explained he’s been friends with Elliot, from WLVQ-FM (96.3), for a number of years.

The hot dog place “started as a joke and got serious over time,” Bisconti said.

It is located just a few storefronts down from Borgata Pizza Café in the Linworth Crossing, at the south corner of East Dublin-Granville and Linworth roads. The other pizzeria by the same name is in the Northland area.
