The TriCounty Area Chamber of Commerce will host its "Economic Development Update for the Keystone State," 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., RiverCrest Golf Club & Preserve, Phoenixville, 100 Golf Club Dr. The event will feature Luke Bernstein, president and CEO of the PA Chamber of Business and Industry providing the keynote. The Manufacturers Resource Center will host "Preventing and Managing Violence in the Workplace," 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Manufacturers Resource Center, 7200A Windsor Dr., Allentown. The course will cover methods for verbally mediating or diffusing aggressive behaviors. Participants will learn about workplace violence prevention policies and explore various preventative options. The course will also discuss active threat scenarios and provide awareness of mitigating actions and potential lifesaving techniques.
