Montgomery County Community College's Workforce Development Division will host its annual "Workforce Development Business Roundtable," 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., virtually via Zoom. Keynote speaker for the event is Jeff Cox, economics editor for CNBC, who will discuss the U.S. economy and key points of interest. The roundtable will also discuss the advantages of WEDnetPA, the college's MontcoWorks Apprenticeship program and the county's current labor market information. The TriCounty Area Chamber of Commerce will host its "Economic Development Update for the Keystone State," 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., RiverCrest Golf Club & Preserve, Phoenixville, 100 Golf Club Dr. The event will feature Luke Bernstein, president and CEO of the PA Chamber of Business and Industry providing the keynote. The Manufacturers Resource Center will host "Preventing and Managing Violence in the Workplace," 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Manufacturers Resource Center, 7200A Windsor Dr., Allentown. The course will cover methods for verbally mediating or diffusing aggressive behaviors. Participants will learn about workplace violence prevention policies and explore various preventative options. The course will also discuss active threat scenarios and provide awareness of mitigating actions and potential lifesaving techniques. The TriCounty Area Chamber of Commerce will host a "Creating Connections Mixer," 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., the Colebrook Railroad, 64 S. Washington St., Boyertown. The event provides a chance to build relationships with other chamber members, and attendees will have a chance to board the Colebrookdale Railroad cars.
