Jun. 15—The success of and respect owed to contemporary rap artists and albums is due in part to the number of celebrity guests that appear on the work.

Consider "Extinction Level Event 2: The Wrath of God," the 2020 release from Busta Rhymes, who is certainly one of the greatest hip-hoppers ever. Here are some of Rhymes's pals and fellow stars who contributed to "Wrath":

Kendrick Lamar, Mariah Carey, Anderson .Paak, Q-Tip, Rick Ross, Mary J. Blige, Rapsody, Ol' Dirty Bastard, Rakim, Pete Rock, Bybz Kartel, Bell Biv DeVoe, M.O.P., Nikki Grier, Chris Rock, Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, Eminem and Louis Farrakhan.

THAT'S some respect. Accordingly, Rhymes headlines Friday's Hip-Hop Remix show in the Premier Theater at Foxwoods, but he's hardly the only famous rapper involved.

Lloyd Banks will also take the stage. On his last album, "The Course of the Inevitable," he was joined by a lot of famous co-producers (which is another sign of Big Shot-ness in hip-hop). They include Alpha Betic, Cartune Beatz, Chase N. Cashe, Dual Output, Eli Brown, Encornelious, Fruition Beats, Illatracks, Motif Alumni, Mr. Authentic, Nothin But M's, The Olympicks, Phill Jvckson, Rxnway, Shadow Magnetic, Super Miles and Tha Jerm.

Also on the bill? Why, Maze and Juvenile, both of whom recently collaborated with Shawty Lo, Kango Slim and — (EDITOR'S NOTE: the bet continues for several pages with the names of more collaborators, but space probibits listing them all. But clearly, it's impressive).

Hip-Hop Remix featuring Busta Rhymes, 8 p.m. Friday, Premier Theater, Foxwoods; $88-$158; www.foxwoods.com.
