There’s so much going on around Georgia football these days that it seems like the SEC championship game was three weeks ago and not 10 days ago.

The early signing period starts on Wednesday. Georgia defensive coordinator Dan Lanning was introduced Monday as Oregon coach. And preparations are ongoing for the College Football Playoff semifinal clash with Michigan in the Orange Bowl with the Bulldogs returning to the practice field last Saturday.

Here are some signing day times set for ceremonies for Georgia commitments:

Defensive lineman Mykel Williams, 9:45 a.m. at the Hardaway High gymnasium.

Running back Branson Robinson, 8:45 a.m. ET at Germantown High in Madison, Miss.

Outside linebacker Darris Smith, 2 p.m., at the Appling High auditorium

Safety JaCorey Thomas, 1:30 p.m., at Boone High School in Orlando.

Linebacker C.J. Washington, 4:30 p.m, at Cedartown High School.

The Bulldogs had 25 commitments as of Tuesday evening after Drew Bobo, son of former Georgia offensive coordinator Mike Bobo, committed.

--Preparations are being made logistically behind the scenes for the program moving its operations after Christmas to South Florida for the Dec. 31 Orange Bowl and possibly Indianapolis for the national title game which will be played on Jan. 10.

--Recognizable quarterbacks are heading to the transfer portal in recent days: LSU’s Max Johnson, Auburn’s Bo Nix, Southern Cal’s Kedon Slovis and Texas A&M’s Zach Colzada. Given Georgia’s deep quarterback room, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see someone follow but for now it’s status quo.

Stetson Bennett hasn’t revealed what his plans are after this season and JT Daniels, Carson Beck and Brock Vandagriff will be joined by Rabun County’s Gunner Stockton soon.

--One thing we learned from Dan Lanning’s introductory press conference Monday night. He met his wife Sauphia when they both were working at Outback 16 years ago. He was a server and she was a “to-go girl.” So I’m assuming this means Lanning is a generous tipper these days.

What to Watch: iHeartRadio Jingle Bell 2021, 8 p.m., Wednesday, CW: If you want to keep up with what the kids are listening to these days, you can catch Ed Sheeran, Dua Lipa, Doja Cat and Jonas Brothers, who are New York Giants fans and shouted out Andrew Thomas when he was the NFL No. 4 overall pick in 2020.

Georgia calendar: No. 17 ranked women’s basketball at No. 3 N.C. State, 6 p.m., Thursday. ACC Network.
