The Butler Bulldogs open the 2021-22 men's basketball season against IUPUI.
Bulldogs coach LaVall Jordan enters his fifth season. Butler has the most returning experience of any team in Division I basketball, including veterans Aaron Thompson and Bryce Nze. They also have three freshmen from the Indianapolis area. The Bulldogs went 10-15 in 2020-21.
IUPUI went 8-10 last season. Matt Crenshaw, the program's career assists leader, is making his Jaguars coaching debut.
