Butler County homeowner helps thwart safe cracking suspects

A Madison Twp. homeowner helped law enforcement nab a pair of suspects that were attempting to crack a safe in his garage in the the 6200 block of Browns Run Rd.

Two burglary suspects were identified and arrested by Butler County sheriff's deputies Sunday, shortly after the crime was committed, according to a release from Sheriff Richard K. Jones.

Jones in his release, stated that the homeowner has a CCW permit and caught one of the suspects, Raymond Earl Flack, 29, of Middletown, trying to cut into the safe. The homeowner held Flack at gunpoint, but he eventually fled on foot before deputies arrived.

According to Jones, Flack met up with Emily Abigail Bush, 29, of Middletown, who was driving a white Ford truck. Deputies were able to catch them in the truck on Trenton Franklin Road and they were arrested.

Flack has been charged with burglary, safecracking, possessing criminal tools and criminal damaging.

Bush is charged with complicity to burglary, complicity to safecracking, complicity to possessing criminal tools and complicity to criminal damaging.

“If you plan to conduct this type of criminal behavior in our county, beware because wewill be waiting for you," Jones said.
