Buy A McDonald’s 'The Lion King' Happy Meal And You Could Win A Free Trip For 4 To Disney World
Whether you have a kid or not, you're gonna want to know about McDonald's newest Happy Meal makeover. In honor of the upcoming 2019 rendition of The Lion King, Mickey D's decked out its kids' meal boxes in a very life-like photograph of Simba. The "Let Family Fun Reign" boxes will be in McDonald's locations nationwide started July 16.
But as we all know with Happy Meals, there's something even more exciting inside (though these kids would disagree): the toy! For a limited time, the Disney-fied boxes will come with one of 10 toys, each of which depicts a character from the movie: Mufasa, Rafiki, Simba cub, Sarabi, Nala cub, Zazu, Timon, Pumbaa, and the grown-up versions of Simba and Nala. This is going to be like the Teenie Beanie Baby collecting spree of 1998!!!
Food-wise, we're looking at The Lion King-themed milk jugs, apple slices, and Go-Gurt. ICYMI, McDonald's has been cleaning up the kids' meal options in the last few years, removing soda from the kids' menu board and adding fruit, water, and low-fat dairy options into the mix.
And because a new The Lion King is a prettyyy big deal, initial reviews aside 😬, there's another prize inside selected Happy Meal boxes—a family trip for four to Walt Disney World! From July 16 through August 19, customers should scan the code found on game pieces inside their Happy Meal to see if they have the winning ticket. The pieces can be scanned through the McDonald's app or at MagicAtMcD.com, FYI.
As for the fine print, 7 families will win this grand prize trip to Disney, while 250 will win a $25 gift card to the Disney store. The trip includes admission to all four Disney theme parks—Epcot, Animal Kingdom, Magic Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios—as well as airfare and lodging for four people. Fine, you got me, I'll buy a Happy Meal!!!
