Buy-Me-Now Silent Auction is scheduled for April 28-29

LOUDONVILLE − St. Peter Catholic Church Mission Society is playing host to its annual Buy-Me-Now Silent Auction 1-5 p.m. Friday, April 28, and 9 a.m.-noon Saturday, April 29. in the church social hall at 220 E. Butler St. Proceeds benefit local charities.

There will be 160-plus gift certificates, theme baskets and other items available for purchase at a predetermined BMN price. If the item isn't purchased out right, the highest bidder will receive the item.

Items or gift certificates include: Two tickets to Kings Island, overnight at Mohican Park Lodge, Pleasant Hill Campground, Wedgewing, Buckeye Pizza, Taco Bell, Phase Two, East of Chicago, Uniontown Brewery, McDonald's, Des Dutch Essenhaus, Mohican Adventures, Shipley's Canoeing, Snow Trails, Pleasant Hill Golf, Loudonville Theatre, Creative Outlet, Stakes IGA, Four Seasons, Miller's Furniture, Rhoads, Buzzards, Truax Printing, Strive Fitness, Miller's Hawkins, GBM and Marathon.

Meat packages from Bonnie Glen Longhorns and Twin Oak Farms, homemade pies, macaroons, biscotti and scones will be available.

Additional items are donated by Step 2, Park National Bank, Raby Hardware, Copper Top, Keim Lumber, Headstrom Entertainment, McMullen Assisted Care, Lingenfelters Jewelers, Mansfield YMCA, Modern Home Supply, Farmers Equity and Henley Soaps. Snyder Funeral Home made a monetary donation.

The Mission Society has been in existence for 71 years and consists of 32 women who make 20 comforters each year to donate to the local Day of Sharing, cut coupons for veterans, roll bandages that are sent to Central America, support an adoptive family and more.
