Buying a Mega Millions chance? These MS Coast stores have sold big winning tickets before.

Since Mississippi’s first Mega Millions winner took home $2 million, winnings have continued to make their way to South Mississippi.

The current Mega Millions jackpot is estimated to be $1.5 billion with a cash value of $757.2 million, according to the Mississippi Lottery Corporation. The next drawing will be Tuesday at 10 p.m.

The $2 million ticket was purchased in 2020 at Jerry Lee’s in Gautier.

Two Mississippi Coast counties sell more lottery tickets than most of the state. In fiscal year 2022, Harrison County and Jackson County were ranked in the top five selling counties in Mississippi, according to the Mississippi Lottery Corporation annual report.
