Byron construction firm purchases its headquarters for $1.2 million

Aug. 25—BYRON — A $1.2 million real estate deal means a Byron construction firm no longer has a landlord and it can use its remodeling skills to expand its showroom.

Elias Construction, led by owner Mickey Elias, purchased the 24-year-old office building with attached warehouse space at 1203 Frontage Road NW on Aug 18.

It bought the 12,240-square-foot complex from LJS Investments of Janesville, Wis. LJS had owned it since 2015.

"We are really invested in the area and this is a great area for us right here on the highway," said Elias of the purchase.

He has 12 people on his construction team and five in a cleaning division.

The large-scale remodeling and new construction firm moved into part of the Frontage Road complex in 2016.

The next step for Elias Construction is to spread out and more than triple the size of its showroom to 3,600-square-feet. That work is expected to happen in the spring.

"The general public and our clients will be able to come in to get inspiration and see a larger selection of designs and products," said Elias.
