C.J. Stroud trending to Tennessee Titans in final 2023 NFL mock drafts — and so is Zay Flowers

The final NFL mock drafts are in! And if the experts are any indication, buckle up for uncertainty when the Tennessee Titans make their first round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.

The Titans entered Thursday's first round with the No. 11 pick but are a trendy candidate to trade the pick — possibly as high as No. 3.

ESPN draft analyst Todd McShay said Monday the Titans have shown interest in Ohio State's CJ Stroud and Kentucky quarterback Will Levis. McShay also reported that the Titans have been among "the most active teams" searching for a draft-night trade, either up or down the board, and ESPN's Diana Russini reported Wednesday the Titans had reached out to the Arizona Cardinals about landing the No. 3 pick.

With that in mind, here's what the final mock drafts say about what Ran Carthon and the Titans will do in Round 1:

C.J Stroud, QB, Ohio State

Mel Kiper Jr., ESPN (in a trade from No. 11 to No. 3): "... While I like Will Levis (Kentucky) just a little bit more, Stroud is my fifth-ranked prospect overall. He is a stellar downfield passer with pinpoint accuracy and anticipation."

Todd McShay, ESPN (in trade from No. 11 to No. 3): "He is the best pure passer in this draft class, showing excellent ball placement and touch to all three levels of the field. Ryan Tannehill is turning 35 years old, and Malik Willis didn't look like the answer when he saw the field last season. Stroud could take the Titans' offense to another level -- if their front office finds a way to upgrade the team's pass-catchers."

Will Brinson, CBSSports.com (no trade): "The Titans have TWO quarterbacks to choose from (everyone pipe down, Justin Fields fell to 11 two years ago and Patrick Mahomes went 10th overall, this is totally normal) and opt to go with the accurate prospect from Mike Vrabel's alma mater."

Charles McDonald, YahooSports.com (no trade): No explanation.

James Fragoza, Pro Football Network: "Big Ten QB? Check. Top-of-class talent? Double check. Heck, Bo Callahan was a traditional pocket QB just like C.J. Stroud. Yet, by all accounts, Stroud’s teammates would go to his birthday party."

Anthony Richardson, QB, Florida

WalterFootball.com: "Richardson is raw, but has a huge arm and great athleticism. He had a great 2022 debut, but struggled versus Kentucky the following week. He was inconsistent after that, but he looked great at the combine."

Jeff Risdon, Draft Wire: "The Titans might have to trade up to make this happen. Here they land Richardson without needing to sacrifice extra picks."

Will Levis, QB, Kentucky

Dave Birkett, Detroit Free Press: "I could see the Titans trying to trade up for Stroud on draft day, in which case Levis might go at No. 4 to the Colts."

Michael Middlehurst-Schwartz, USA TODAY Sports: "If Levis lasts to this point, Tennessee could stop his slide and find a potential successor to (Ryan) Tannehill without sacrificing draft capital vital to the rebuilding effort."

Zay Flowers, WR, Boston College

Daniel Jeremiah, NFL.com: "Seeing Flowers go this early would be a little bit of a surprise, but Tennessee’s offense is desperate for some speed and playmaking ability."

Ryan Wilson, CBSSports.com: "We've heard for weeks that either Jaxon Smith-Njiba or Zay Flowers would be WR1 and the Titans go Flowers here. He was the offense at BC last season and he has some in-his-prime Antonio Brown to his game."

Darnell Wright, OT, Tennessee

Nick Suss, Tennessean.com (via trade with Pittsburgh Steelers): "The Titans move back six spots to pick an instant starter on the offensive line. Wright played both tackle positions and some guard in college. He's got a chance to start at guard early for the Titans but also could factor into the right tackle conversation depending on how Andre Dillard and Nicholas Petit-Frere fare in training camp and the early season."

Dawand Jones, OT, Ohio State

Cris Collinsworth, NBC via Pro Football Focus: "I like both Ohio State offensive tackles a lot. When I watch Jones, I just keep seeing Andrew Whitworth. He’s huge, but he can really move, so I don’t think his size limits him scheme-wise. And when he gets his hands on a defensive player, it’s over so often."
