C-M softball routs three foes at Bobcat Classic
Jun. 27—MARSHALLTOWN — In its three wins at the Bobcat Classic on Friday and Saturday, the Colfax-Mingo softball team scored 41 runs.
In the Tigerhawks' lone loss, they managed just one hit and fell to Class 2A No. 4 Lisbon 6-1.
It was an up-and-down weekend, but the Tigerhawks improved to 15-10 after a 3-1 stint at Marshalltown Community College.
Colfax-Mingo opened with a 15-3, three-inning win over host Marshalltown on Friday and lost to Lisbon in its second game.
The Tigerhawks defeated former North Iowa Cedar League foes BCLUW and Grundy Center 11-3 and 15-2, respectively, on Saturday.
