CA State Railroad Museum now taking passengers on historic train rides

If you're looking for a family-friendly option to get the kids outdoors, the California State Railroad Museum has opened up its Excursion Train Rides. "One of the things we’ve really missed is our community and the interaction of people coming in," said Ty Smith, Museum Director. "The Excursion Train actually allows people to ride history and participate in history." The experience entails a 50-minute round trip ride along the Sacramento River, and is meant to complement a visit to the museum. The train is pulled by a historic steam or diesel locomotive. To help with social distancing, seating on board the train is sold in groups of four. Face masks are required. Inside the museum, capacity limits are maintained. See more in the video above.
