Cactus Theater hosts CMA of Texas awards

The Cactus Theater will host a special two-night series as the Country Music Association of Texas presents its postponed 2022 awards on Tuesday followed with the 2023 awards on Wednesday.

Tuesday's show, beginning at 6:30 p.m., will feature the 2022 award recipients including:

On Wednesday, the Cactus Theater again plays host to the 2023 CMA of Texas Awards and film screening at 6 p.m.Emcees for the show are HD Ainsworth and Kelly Scott.

Wednesday's event will pay tribute to the Official Music of Texas – Western Swing – with a screening of the documentary film from 6-7:15 p.m., "The Birth and History of Western Swing".

Following the film, award winners for the 2023 CMA of Texas awards will be announced, including:
