LISLE, IL — Lisle Trustee Sara Sadat and NABET Region 4 Vice President Raza Siddiqui have teamed up with Caffe di Moda owner Joseph Di Braccio to provide coffee for workers on the front lines of the coronavirus crisis. The "Lisle Pick Me Up" initiative has been delivering coffee daily to doctors and nurses Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove since April 13 and plans to keep doing so until at least May 1, Gov. J.B. Pritzker's stay-at-home order is tentatively set to be lifted.

Since the efforts started, they've delivered 22 to 28 cups of coffee a day to help lift the spirits of hospital staff, Sadat told Patch.

In a statement, Sadat called Lisle Pick Me Up a "political, labor and small business initiative." Sadat said, "We want to thank our first responders, doctors, nurses and all healthcare workers at Good Samaritan and all over America for stepping up to fight COVID-19. We stand with our community and those who work tirelessly to protect it."
