Get your caffeine fix: More than 50 spots to try in Rockland, Westchester, Putnam

National Coffee Day is Thursday, providing yet another excuse (as if you needed one!) to sit back and savor that second cup. Lucky for those of us in the Lower Hudson Valley, there are plenty of places to get your caffeine buzz, plug in (hello "work from home!"), and maybe indulge in a doughnut.

Some new ones have recently opened, too, including Village Hall Cafe by Salonnière in Nyack, Reverie Coffee Company in Carmel and Joe Coffee in New Rochelle, and more are coming soon. Booskerdoo Coffee & Baking Co. is opening in Ardsley in early October; Bluestone Lane will be brewing up treats in Larchmont in mid-October. Then there's Here Coffee & Beer in Ossining (also hoping for mid-October), Tazza in Thornwood (mid-October), Harpoon Hanna's in New Rochelle (late November), The Producer in Port Chester (November), and Sleepy Coffee, Too in Sleepy Hollow (also in November).

Duck Donuts, where doughnuts go hand in hand with coffee, is one of a few local spots (with locations in Mamaroneck and White Plains) celebrating the day with a deal. Theirs includes a free medium hot coffee or cold brew with the purchase of a doughnut. Of course, there's always Starbuck's and Dunkin, some of them with drive-throughs, making that latte order easier than ever.

Craving that cuppa yet? Here's where to go in Westchester, Rockland and Putnam.
