  • Caitlyn Jenner opened up about the OJ Simpson trial during last night's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!, revealing she banned the Kardashian children from using his name in the house.

  • In 1994, the Kardashians were thrust into public consciousness when Robert Kardashian defended O.J. Simpson over the double murders of Nicole Simpson and Ronald Goldman. Kim Kardashian was only 14 years old at the time.

Since heading into the I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! jungle, Caitlyn Jenner has opened up about everything from her feud with Khloe Kardashian to the security measures Kylie Jenner takes.

During last night's episode, she took things one step further, detailing her feelings about the OJ Simpson trial, which took place for eight months between 1994-1995. At the time, Caitlyn had been married to Kris for three years, having divorced Robert Kardashian - who was the father of Kourtney, Khloe, Kim and Rob - in 1991.

Robert represented OJ in the trial, in which he was accused of the double murders of ex-wife Nicole Simpson (who was Kris's best friend) and her friend Ronald Goldman. OJ was found not guilty.

Speaking to Kate Garraway and Jacqueline Jossa in the jungle, Caitlyn recounted, " I saw Nicole two days before she was murdered. It was Kris’ best friend, we were right in the middle of it. [Kris'] ex-husband Robert - OJ was the best man at their wedding.

"It was a bad time for everybody, very difficult," she continued. "We knew what happened and this trial was a joke and when the verdict came down Kris just turned around to me and goes, 'We should have listened to Nicole from the beginning, she was right.'"

Speaking of how the trial impacted the Kardashian children, Caitlyn continued, "That night the verdict came in Kourtney and Kimberly [Kardashian] were in school and obviously they loved their father - and they should - and they’d been following this for a year and a half.

"And when they walked in the door, I think it was Kourtney who said: 'Well I told you he didn’t do it'. And I just said to the girls: 'I don’t want his name ever mentioned in this house again'."

Reflecting on this later, Jacqueline said, "Caitlyn has been involved in some huge news, breaking stories and she is so open and honest about it and it’s a lot to take in, they were good friends and it’s a sad story."
