Caitlyn Jenner, a candidate in the California gubernatorial race, declined to say that President Joe Biden won the election legitimately.

Jenner, 71, refused to confirm the results of the 2020 presidential election during an interview Friday.

"I am not going to get into that,” Jenner said when asked about the election results. “That election is over with. I think that Donald Trump did do some good things, and what I liked about Donald Trump was that he was a disrupter."

The View host Joy Behar interrupted Jenner’s answer to repeat the question: “But did he win? Did he win the election?”

"He was a disrupter when he was president,” Jenner added. “I want to do the same thing. I want to go in and be a thoughtful disrupter in Sacramento. We need to change the system. I want to change that system for the positive. I'm in it for the people."

Former President Donald Trump has promoted claims that he won the election. His campaign, in the aftermath of the election, also filed a litany of lawsuits alleging fraud, none of which were successful.

Federal and state election officials have insisted there is no evidence of widespread fraud in the 2020 contest. Trump's Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency released a statement in November 2020 that said the presidential election was "the most secure in American history."

A number of Republicans have tried to avoid angering Trump.
