Cal Expo to be used as COVID-19 vaccination site, officials say

Gov. Gavin Newsom said during a news conference Monday that Sacramento County's Cal Expo has been picked as a large-scale vaccination site as the state works to inoculate more residents. The Cal Expo site, along with the Los Angeles Dodgers and San Diego Padres stadiums, are slated to open as early as this week. More large-scale vaccination sites are planned, Newsom said. The Sacramento County Public Health Department told KCRA 3 it will be some time before Cal Expo is ready to vaccinate the general public. See more in the video above.
