What started as a structure fire quickly ballooned into a 110-acre vegetation fire in California Valley on Monday afternoon.

According to emergency response app, PulsePoint, a fire was reported at Angwin Trail and Alleghany Road around 12:23 p.m.

The fire began at a structure, but began spreading to the surrounding grass, according to emergency scanner traffic.

The fire was mostly doused by 3:30 p.m., after burning roughly 110 acres, according to a Cal Fire spokesperson.

In total, Cal Fire sent eight engines, two crews, two bulldozers and a water tender to attack the blaze, while the Bureau of Land Management sent two engines and a hotshot crew, the spokesperson said.

Cal Fire also ordered an air attack along with three tankers and a helicopter, she said.
