Original story:

Cal Fire units are responding to reports of a small fire spreading slowly near Lake Nacimiento, according to emergency services app PulsePoint.

The fire was spotted at 7330 Gage Irving Road at 1:30 p.m. and was attributed to a downed power line blocking traffic.

As of 2:30, the fire had burned a quarter of an acre of land near Running Deer Ranch and fire retardant has been deployed to contain the spread.

All Cal Fire units are staging at the Gage Irving gate to wait for PG&E maintenance vehicles to arrive and handle the power line problem, which must be resolved before the fire can be put out.
