Cal OES gives update on state's power grid amid heat wave

As the state's grid operator asks Californians to conserve power for the fourth day, the office of emergency services is holding a meeting to discuss the state's response to the heat wave. Cal ISO, the California Independent System Operator, announced on Friday it would extend its Flex Alert into Saturday. On Thursday, Gov. Gavin Newsom signed an executive order meant to ramp up the state's energy supply temporarily.
