Calallen's Stratmann voted Sames Caller-Times High School Athlete of the Week

Calallen's Tori Stratmann was a key part of the Wildcats five-set win over Tuloso-Midway and has been voted the Sames Caller-Times High School Athlete of the Week.

Stratmann had 16 kills and 29 digs in the win over the Cherokees that kept Calallen unbeaten in District 31-4A volleyball play and finished with 19 kills and 39 digs over the week for the Wildcats.

Stratmann received 43,717 of the 71,431 votes cast, which was 61.2% of all votes.

Calallen football player Luke Medina was second with 22,748 votes.

Students can only be named Athlete of the Week one time per season, per sport.

Nominations are due each Monday by 5 p.m. and can be submitted through email at ctsports@caller.com, by messaging the Caller-Times through its Facebook page, or on Twitter @CallerSports.
