Calcaterra family, Lupe Cabrera donate thousands of cowboy boots to El Paso children

Lil’ cowboys and cowgirls will be putting on new boots thanks to a huge charitable donation to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Foundation.

More than 4,000 boots will be distributed to children in need. The boots were donated by the Calcaterra family, owners of Cowtown Boots, and Lupe Cabrera, owner of ProBuild General Contractors, sheriff’s officials said Tuesday.

“On behalf of the Cowtown company and the Calcaterra family, we are proud to be able to reach out to the community and donate these boots for people in need and want to say thank you for everything the El Paso community has done for us through the past 60 years that we’ve been here,” said Cowtown Boots owner Paul Calcaterra.
