Caldwell Memorial Hospital Auxiliary donates to Capstone Campaign

Apr. 28—LENOIR — The Caldwell Memorial Hospital Auxiliary has contributed $60,000 to The Caldwell Memorial Hospital Foundation's Capstone Campaign. The campaign supports the new phase two renovation project of UNC Health Caldwell's main facility. The successful completion of this $33+ million renovation will address four critical needs of the hospital by providing new and expanded Cardiac Catheterization Lab, Clinical Lab, Inpatient Pharmacy and Kitchen/Cafeteria.

Sarah Younce, CMH Auxiliary president, and Alice Whisnant, director of Volunteer Services/ Liaison to the CMH Auxiliary Volunteers, presented the check to the Caldwell Memorial Hospital Foundation Executive Director Virginia Hoyle. Heather Foss, chief administrative officer, and The CMH Auxiliary Board were also present for the check presentation.

Alice Whisnant shared that "the great group of volunteers within the CMH Auxiliary/Volunteer Services provides phenomenal support to the hospital patients, families, visitors, and teammates. Additionally, the funds generated through the hospital gift shop sales and numerous fundraisers help support vital hospital programs and services."
