Caldwell Memorial Hospital Foundation announces its 2023 Patrons' Gala

Jul. 5—LENOIR — The Caldwell Memorial Hospital Foundation has announced that Roberta Grout Douglas, Gala Chair and Kelly Lanier Icenhour, Gala Co-Chair are designing this year's hospital gala, The Grand Ball at Versailles.

This year's gala will raise funds for The Capstone Campaign, to provide funding for a cardiac catheterization laboratory, new clinical lab, renovated inpatient pharmacy and new kitchen and cafeteria spaces. This is a $33.5 million project in which the Foundation is raising $3.5 million with UNC Health providing $30 million. Construction is slated to start in fall of this year.

The gala will be held Saturday, Sept. 23 at Cedar Rock Country Club. The event will be elegant and will include hors d'oeuvres, dinner, drinks, a premier silent auction and dancing to a great party band from Charlotte, The Queens Court.
