Fools in April, a concert of musical jokes, presented by Bartlesville Chorale 7 to 9 p.m. at the Bartlesville Community Center, 300 SE Adams Blvd. Enjoy a choral concert of fun and silly texts and musical witticisms. Price Tower's Annual Youth Art Show Opening Reception 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Price Tower Art Center, 510 S Dewey Ave. Celebrating youth art education and young artists, this annual Youth Art Show has exhibited more than 300 pieces of artwork from students in public, private, and homeschools from grades Pre-K to 12th grade.

Scouts BSA and YMCA Cornhole Tournament Fundraiser 1 to 5 p.m. at the City Center Pavilion, located at the entrance to Johnstone Park at the corner of Cherokee Avenue and Hensley Boulevard. In the Kitchen w/ Susan, A Free Healthy Cooking Classes noon to 1 p.m. at the Bartlesville Public Library, meeting room A, 600 S Johnstone. Susan loves to share with us how she has made healthy cooking easy in her own home and brings her best ideas and practices to make us all better chefs. The Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary will elect officers at this months meeting at the Citadel, 101 N. Bucy. A social time at 10 a.m. will be followed by the business meeting at 10:30. The auxiliary is a volunteer organization that is open to all area women. It helps support the various social programs of the Salvation Army.

Spring Floral Arranging and Charcuterie Mash Up 5 to 6:30 p.m. at Elder Care, 1223 Swan Drive. Learn how to put together your own spring florals and a yummy grazing board. Betsy Faust of Honey’s Flowers & Melody of Melody’s Creative Cuisine share easy tips to make your next party a success. The cost of $75 covers materials. “Hope Beyond Bars,” a free program co-sponsored by Women’s Network and the League of Women Voters of the Bartlesville Area, will begin at 6 p.m. at the Bartlesville Public Library.  Guest speakers include the director of Poetic Justice, Ellen Stackhouse, as well as a participant who successfully completed the program, and who will share her experiences in and out of prison. Poetic Justice Volunteers visit women in prison, offering friendship and providing encouragement and support to help them gain the confidence and skills needed to navigate the challenges of life in prison and upon re-entry to life on the outside.

Bingo for Pack the Backpacks from 7:30-9 p.m. at Cooper and Mills Brewing Company, 2nd and Dewey. All ages can play. Bingo is Free. Donations of $$ and school supplies will be accepted. Help us pack the backpacks for the 2023-2024 school year.

Bruins of the Year Celebration 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Bill Doenges memorial Stadium, 198 N Dewey Ave. Join the BPS Foundation at Rigdon Field as we celebrate Bartlesville Public Schools teachers and staff at this annual event! The District will announce its Teacher of the Year, Rising Star of the Year, Rookie of the Year, Classified Person of the Year, Sodexo Employee of the Year, and Substitute of the Year.

Project Glam: Pick A Dress 2 to 5 p.m. at Delaware Tribe, 5100 Tuxedo Blvd. Come pick out a free prom dress (limited shoes and accessories available), enjoy refreshments, and receive a “Preppin’ for Prom” swag bag! This event is open to the public, students do not have to be tribal to participate.

The Nowata County Democratic Party Convention at 2:30 p.m. at the Nowata City/County Library in the west room, 224 S. Pine in Nowata. Please arrive by 1:30 p.m. to register and review information. The precinct meeting will begin at 2 p.m., followed by the convention.

Global Realities Part 1: Displaced Families in Ukraine 6 to 7 p.m. at Elder Care, 1223 Swan Drive. What are realities in Ukraine? Former Bartians, Jim and Pam King, provide an educational overview on Ukrainian families displaced internally by the war and the realities of the Ukrainian life. No cost to attend. POWER HOUR! What About it? noon to 1 p.m. at Elder Care, 1223 Swan Drive. The second Thursday of each month is dedicated to learning more about Elder Care’s many programs. April 13 features Josh Lindblom, PT, DPT, Foundation Therapy Specialists Director of Therapy. Learn about the benefits of physical therapy and how easy it is to access one-on-one therapy. The Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary’s “Puttin’ on the Glitz” jewelry sale and gala will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. at Highland Park Baptist Church, 300 SE Washington. The annual fundraiser will also include an array of desserts and coffee, favors and an impressive door prize. KWON OK Cooking School 3 to 8:30 p.m. at the Bartlesville Community Center, 300 SE Adams Blvd. Chef Jamie Dunn will teach how to create everything from appetizers to desserts. It is great fun for the entire family. Signing interpretation will be provide for the Hearing Impaired. Spring Voter Registration Drive 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Bartlesville Public Library Lobby, 600 S. Johnstone. Volunteers with the League of Women Voters of Bartlesville will be available to assist with registering voters or updating voter registration information.

Block Party Cook-off 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Bartlesville Police are hosting a BBQ Cook-off. Categories are ribs, chicken, and cook’s choice. Light it Up Blue 2023 5K and Fun Run 8 to 9:30 a.m. Registration opens March 1. Packet pick-up 4:30 to 6 p.m. at Paths to Independence, 4620 E Frank Phillips Blvd.

Operation Clean House 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at two locations: the Phillips 66 downtown parking lot and the District 2 Washington County barn in Dewey. A countywide event for Washington County residents to dispose of hazardous household and automotive good without harming the environment. More than a hundred volunteers are needed to help offload and organize the waste drop off, organizers say. Volunteers will receive a free t-shirt and breakfast and/or lunch. 2023 SAFE-NOW's Walk a Mile in Her Shoes 10 a.m. to noon at Frank Phillips Park, 222 SW Frank Phillips Blvd. SAFE-NOW provides forensic medical exams for victims of sexual assault, child abuse and domestic violence. Get your team together and come walk a symbolic mile downtown Frank Phillips Blvd, wearing our signature red heels. Can’t walk in heels? No problem! Come join us anyway and wear your comfy shoes. This is a fun family Walk event. Lots of prizes and giveaways.

Washington County Master Gardeners Plant Sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. behind the Dewey Fairground building Bring wheeled carts and wagons.  Due to construction in the area, parking will be limited to the side and front of the fairground building. Only cash or checks are accepted.

Martha's Task's annual Purse-n-ali-tea party will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 29, at Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church, 801 SE Washington Blvd. Tickets are $25 each. The Good, The Bad, & The BBQ fundraiser to benefit programs and services at Elder Care the Hughes Ranch, 63 County Rd 2696, just minutes from downtown Bartlesville on Highway 123. The outdoor fundraiser will be held under a large party tent and includes a BBQ dinner, music and dancing, and live and silent auctions. A cash bar will be available. Antiques and Collectables' 32nd annual Dewey Antique Show from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Washington County Fair building in Dewey. Tickets are $5 each. All ticket proceeds from the show go back into Washington County nonprofit organizations like the Clothes closet for elementary schools, FFA, 4H, Journey Home, ARF, SPCA, Kiddie Park, Dewey Hotel, Tom Mix Museum and a $1,500 scholarship to a graduating senior in Washington County.
