The Bartlesville Area History Museum from noon-1 p.m. presents the film “Prairie Song: Journey Back to the Old West” Produced by Joel Rabin, “Prairie Song” delivers breathtaking aerial views and tells the story of how Prairie Song began. The Bartlesville Chapter of Sons of the American Revolution will meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Bartlesville Library in Conference Room A (Upstairs). Please note that this is a new location. Block Party Cook-off 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Bartlesville Police are hosting a BBQ Cook-off. Categories are ribs, chicken, and cook’s choice. Light it Up Blue 2023 5K and Fun Run 8 to 9:30 a.m. Registration opens March 1. Packet pick-up 4:30 to 6 p.m. at Paths to Independence, 4620 E Frank Phillips Blvd.
Operation Clean House 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at two locations: the Phillips 66 downtown parking lot and the District 2 Washington County barn in Dewey. A countywide event for Washington County residents to dispose of hazardous household and automotive good without harming the environment. More than a hundred volunteers are needed to help offload and organize the waste drop off, organizers say. Volunteers will receive a free t-shirt and breakfast and/or lunch. Green Thumb Garden Club Spring Plant Sale at Eastland Shopping Center at 8:30-11:30 a.m. near the theater, We will have perennials, annuals, hostas, houseplants, succulents, herbs, shrubs, tomato and pepper plants, milkweed and butterfly kits. We will also have free tree or shrub saplings.

Washington County Master Gardeners Plant Sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. behind the Dewey Fairground building Bring wheeled carts and wagons. Due to construction in the area, parking will be limited to the side and front of the fairground building. Only cash or checks are accepted.

The Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary will install officers 10:30 a.m. at 101 N. Bucy. The meeting will be followed by a luncheon. The auxiliary is a volunteer organization that is open to all area women. It supports the various programs of the Salvation Army.

WASONO Shrine Club will give out 10-pound bags of Vidalia onions for a $12 donation over the weekend, as long as supplies last. Onion pickup is at the front door of the Bartlesville Masonic Lodge, 610 NE Washington Blvd. from noon-5 p.m. Friday, 7 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, May 6, noon-5 p.m. Sunday, May 7 and 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday. However, club members suggest getting there as early as possible because they may not be available still by Monday. The money goes to help the club fund the transport of children to various Shriner's hospitals as well as free popcorn at the Christmas Parade.

The Good, The Bad, & The BBQ fundraiser to benefit programs and services at Elder Care the Hughes Ranch, 63 County Rd 2696, just minutes from downtown Bartlesville on Highway 123. The outdoor fundraiser will be held under a large party tent and includes a BBQ dinner, music and dancing, and live and silent auctions. A cash bar will be available. Antiques and Collectables' 32nd annual Dewey Antique Show from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Washington County Fair building in Dewey. Tickets are $5 each. All ticket proceeds from the show go back into Washington County nonprofit organizations like the Clothes closet for elementary schools, FFA, 4H, Journey Home, ARF, SPCA, Kiddie Park, Dewey Hotel, Tom Mix Museum and a $1,500 scholarship to a graduating senior in Washington County.
